Where It All Began
I grew up in Western Sydney, a multicultural community filled with Greek, Lebanese, Italian, Asian, and many other cultures. Family gatherings with friends from these backgrounds shaped my childhood, and those memories remain my most cherished.
No matter the cuisine, one thing was always the same: charcoal and a BBQ .
Even after 40 years, I can still recall the sweet scent of those Sundays—laughter in the background, spices in the air, and the crackling sound of charcoal heating under trays of marinated meat.
